What families actually remember
Ask someone about a funeral twenty years later and they will not describe the arrangements.
They will describe who came. Who stayed. Who said the right thing, and who said nothing at all but sat down beside them and stayed sitting.
The logistics matter enormously on the day, and are forgotten entirely afterwards. The presence is what remains.
