The line everyone has heard and nobody uses

"Live each moment as if it were your last."

It has been said so often that it has stopped arriving. It looks well on a poster. It is no use at all on a Tuesday morning.

Because if today were honestly the last one, nobody would go to the office, or pay the electricity bill, or sit through a meeting. Life does not run that way, and it cannot.

So perhaps the question was never about the whole day. Perhaps it is about one phone call. One sentence you have been meaning to say for months. One person you keep moving to next month, who is quietly moving you to next month as well.

Below is Sadhguru on a Norwegian talk show, talking about exactly this line. Worth the few minutes.

And then, honestly — not the whole day, just one thing:

अगर आज आख़िरी दिन होता, तो आज आप क्या अलग करते?
